Garages and Garage Doors From the public faces of the house, the garage shall strive to be less dominant than the front door and to not dominate the view from the street. The following design strategies are recommended to achieve this: * Use enhanced garage door materials that give the doors a more appealing aesthetic. * Provide architectural recess for garage doors. * Provide trellises to visually recess garage doors. * Screen the garage door with landscape. * A variety of garage placements, setbacks, and treatments are encouraged to minimize the impact of garage dominant streetscapes throughout the community. Refer to the Garage Placement Variation sub-section. * Garages shall have a front building setback depth that provides a driveway length of 20 feet to allow parking in the driveway without encroaching into the sidewalk along the street. 2-23 February 2022
