A few months ago, I never imagined that we
would be met with such extraordinary times
and historic challenges as we continue
to face the growing COVID-19 pandemic.
Amid this worry and uncertainty, it's now
more important than ever that we stay
connected with one another. Even as we
face this new territory and practice social
distancing to stay healthy and safe, we are
here for you every step of the way.
After closely monitoring the risk and

this crisis, and we thank you and support you in that work.
The EFA show and magazine teams
are here to support you as best we can,
sharing your stories, both good and bad,
and doing all we can to advance this
industry during this difficult time. We're
also discussing ideas as a team and with
our association partners on ways that we
can deliver conference content and help
you connect to solutions providers and

impact of COVID-19 on a daily basis
and speaking at length with members
of our community, and after exhausting
all postponement options, we made the
very difficult but right decision to cancel
the 2020 Environments for Aging Expo &
Conference, which had been scheduled for
April 25-28 at the Kentucky International
Convention Center in Louisville, Ky. We
are hopeful about hosting an EFA Expo in
Louisville in the near future, as the level of
excitement for our first conference there
had been very high.
The COVID-19 pandemic is new territory, and it's very concerning for all. But
it's especially challenging for our aging
communities. All of you who work serving and housing this vulnerable group
have much to contribute to the efforts to
combat this situation; we know how busy
many of you will be on the front lines of

one another while we await the day we
can be together again, face to face.
Thank you for your continued support
as we navigate through this global crisis,
and we promise to continue supporting
each one of you in the senior living design industry, of which I am proud to be
a part. Our commitment remains strong.
I look forward to seeing you in Chattanooga, Tenn., April 24-27, 2021, for
our next EFA Expo. In the meantime stay
