spanning 12 western states. It is
a fun and educational event,
and we look forward to seeing
you in Palm Springs!
Whether it's Alpine, Nordic,
mono or shaped skis, snowboards,
or snowshoes, our
members plan to have fun in
the snow! A number of our
clubs can be found on Facebook

one thing - they all have a special
place for special people.

San Diego Council
of Ski Clubs

The San Diego Council of
Ski Clubs offered some amazing
trips this past year. We alternated
between in person and monthly
Zoom Board Meetings. Our goal
as a council is to keep our local
skiers interested and aware of industry
changes and news. We
share all information that affects
their snow adventures with
safety, equipment, and resort information
with individual club
representatives at our monthly
meetings.
We have multiple Council
and FWSA trips scheduled over
the next few years, with several
listed below. Anyone interested in
traveling with our group, please
contact Chris Gill at:

We are very thankful for the
clubs we have in the San Diego
Council of Ski Clubs. Our clubs
have offered many destinations
for skiing and snowboarding,
both domestically and internationally.
Some clubs consistently
have strong race teams
each winter. Other clubs specialize
in their athletic choices here
San Diego Council members
enjoyed a fun night of Bunco
with the San Diego Mission
Bay Boat & Ski Club.
in San Diego. Another club has
many retired folks that no longer
ski but want to maintain their
friendships of several decades by
joining in social activities. One
very distinctive club owns their
own chalet at Mammoth Mountain
and offers it to members only
using a reservation system. We
truly have clubs for every age
group and interest level in our
beautiful city. We also have local
council activities, like Happy
Hours and bi-weekly walks, open
to all club members.

We are still finalizing several
other council trips for 2025 and
2026. Additionally, many of our
clubs have trips to Mammoth
Mountain and other flyaway destinations
throughout the season
that are listed on the council
website and/or relevant club
website. To list a few, Action has
trips to Solitude, Revelstoke,
Steamboat, and Palisades/Alpine,
and North Island Snowdrifters
has Niseko, Japan and Winter
Park. There are many other trips
as well, like local Wine Tastings
and Winery Tours, with some in
Mexico. We all look forward to
an exciting upcoming ski season.
