‘I love the South’ tweets In the calendar of events section of GEORGIA Magazine, there is a special designation for “Civil War events.” —Nicole Barre, via Twitter, tagged as “Reasons Why I Love the South” Timpson memories I’m one of the cousins mentioned in the January 2012 My Georgia story [see “The shady side of Timpson,” Celebrating the Georgia lifestyle GEMC page 24]. As I read the story, strong memories came rushing back—memories of family, living and the enjoyment of life! A book can be written about that spot of land beside Highway 76, seven miles out of Clayton. I want to thank Vonda Harris for writing it, and I want to thank you for publishing it.
