This year will be the 45th annual Blessing of the Fleet in
Darien. Here, “Amazing Grace,” a shrimp boat owned by Smith
& Sons Seafood, was voted No. 3 in the 2012 boat parade.

Traditionally, a wreath honoring fishermen and
shrimpers who have perished is laid on the sea
from the last vessel in the parade. In this photo,
