So how does this rural town give the world—not one, but three—young men who have the innate ability and the well-rooted sense of themselves to buff and polish their characters into a reﬁnement rarely seen in 21st-century America? What’s this town’s secret? “Down where I was born was heaven on earth; Where Flint River washes that red Georgia dirt; The sun sets slow and the stars shine bright,” are lyrics from “We Rode in Trucks,” written and sung by Luke. 22 His description of home depicts more than just a place; it also says something about the songwriter’s appreciation for what matters there: family and friends, community, work ethic, hayﬁelds, rivers and creeks— deep roots. Luke, 36, Buster, 25, and Phillip, 22, posted incredible achievements in 2012. Luke’s third album, “Tailgates and Tanlines,” became his ﬁrst Platinum. He also had three Platinum singles, and won nine awards at the American Country Awards, including Artist of the Year. Buster’s baseball team, the San Francisco Giants, won the 2012 World Series.
