The annual U.S. Open Beer Championship competition took place in Atlanta in July, where breweries and home-brewers submitted more than 2,500 beers across 68 different categories for judging. Roosevelt may have visited, anywhere in the world—as part of its internationMore online at www.georgiamagazine.org al photography contest. “The legacy of President Roosevelt touched every part of the world,” says Brian Roslund, president of the nonproﬁt Friends of Roosevelt’s Little White House. “From countless New Deal projects … state parks, bridges, post ofﬁces and federal buildings” to his travels nationwide and abroad, “the connections are limitless.” Overall themes for the contest are “The Little White House” (images taken at the state historic site) and “FDR Did That” (related photos from anywhere else in the world). Entries are due by Sept. 30. Images received will be put on display in the museum for public judging during the month of October, then preserved in the Little White House archives after the contest ends.
