f you love sampling local cuisine
when traveling, Georgia and a few
neighboring states have a lot to offer. Whether it's barbecue, Southern
cuisine, whiskey or wine, food and
beverage tours promise to take you
on a scrumptious journey you will
never forget.

Delicious is a destination in Georgia. And if you
want to enjoy some of the
best barbecue and beer in the state,
try the Brews & Q's Trail. Created
by the Historic Heartland Travel Association in 2015 as a way for
visitors to experience Georgia's barbecue, craft breweries
and growler (a container for
transporting beer) shops, the
trail guides you through more
than 30 locally owned businesses from Athens to Perry.
"This trail travels throughout the state of Georgia, and
we are especially proud to
have Athens as the first stop!"
says Aimee Cheek, public relations coordinator at the Athens
Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
The ideal way to explore the trail
is with the Brews & Q's Trail Passport,
a free brochure that shows a map of
the trail. Present your brochure and
ask for a stamp at each location. After
visiting 10 stops on the trail, you will
receive a Brews & Q's T-shirt.
The brochure is available at participating locations, including the
Athens CVB and the Athens Welcome Center. You also can download
the brochure at exploregeorgia.org or
visitathensga.com. There is no time
limit on visiting 10 places on the
Brews & Q's Trail.
