Oconee Brewing Co. in Greensboro contributes its distinctive flavors
to Georgia's growing craft-beer scene.

Tremaine Afetorgbor is a pharmacist, a mom and
a wife who learned to cook from her grandmother.
Known as Dr. Tré, she developed a line of spices that
capture the flavors of a variety of cuisines and calls them
Dr. Flava Spices. Nine blends will perk up meats, veggies and more. The Southwest & Garlic blend did a great
job with a lamb stew, while Ginger Garlic Lime blended
with yogurt made a good marinade for chicken. Price:

New wineries are breaking ground in both North
and South Georgia. Farmer's Daughter, by Clayton and
Renee Moss, is a professionally designed vineyard on the
family farm near Pelham, where they also grow cotton,
peanuts and apples. They began the vineyard in 2014.
The enterprise showcases its wines in a tasting room in
downtown Thomasville. Look for these varieties: Blanc
du Bois, a white wine made from a hybrid grape; Lenoir,
a red wine grape that may have originated in Georgia;
and Lomanto, a hybrid grape developed in the 19th century in Texas. And now a cider has been added to the
mix. Since last year, Farmer's Daughter wines have taken
medals at the Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge and
