Sensory experiences at Fernbank
isitors looking for a "sense-sational" adventure will
enjoy Fernbank Museum's, Our Senses: An
Immersive Experience. The exhibit, on display at the
Atlanta museum, runs through May 3 and features
interactive spaces that highlight human senses: seeing,
hearing, smelling, touching and tasting. Visitors can
observe sensory illusions while learning about how our
bodies create our sensory experiences.
"It's not just walking through an exhibit where you
read signs. It's more immersive," says Tyler Thornton,
public relations and promotions manager at Fernbank.
The exhibit's interactive elements include listening
to animal noises that are normally outside the human
hearing range and taking a virtual tour of a garden
through the eyes of a bee.
