Georgia Pinners Conference
coming to Cobb Galleria Centre

f you're interested in knitting, baking or other crafts and hobbies, mark your
calendar. The fourth annual Georgia Pinners Conference will take place
April 17-18 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.
The event, based on the popular social media site Pinterest, brings together
handicraft enthusiasts from around the Southeast. The conference features
classes on skills such as sewing, photography and jewelry-making and a large
vendor market of supplies and craftwork for sale.
The event gives consumers an affordable, hands-on experience with the
projects they see online, says co-founder Roxanne Bennett of Provo, Utah.
Conference sponsors include The Home Depot, ImpressArt and Michael's.
"The Pinners [Conference] is how Pinterest comes to life in the real world"
and is a "great way to interact and learn," says Mandy Landefeld, a regular
presenter at the conference. Landefeld is the founder of Sumptuous Living, an
Atlanta company that provides cooking, travel and home-living advice through
online recipes, articles and demonstrations at the conference.
