Enjoy virtual and in-person events
s we navigate the uncertainty surrounding
COVID-19, Georgia Magazine has changed the format for this month's Events Calendar to provide you with
both virtual and in-person events and activities
to explore.
June's Calendar offers three sections: Gateways to
Virtual Events, websites that provide access to multiple
organizations' online activities through a single web
portal; Individual Groups' Activities, virtual events and
activities sponsored by stand-alone groups across the
state; and In-person Events, those happening in the
traditional way, grouped by tourism region.
The Calendar represents virtual and in-person events
submitted by tourism partners from around the state. We
hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to
get to know organizations and destinations in tourism
regions you may not have visited before.
As time goes by, more groups are planning traditional events. Our In-person Events represent those that were
confirmed at press time. However, before you attend any
event, please verify that it is taking place by calling and/or
checking websites.

n Gateways to Virtual Events
Several museums, convention and visitors
bureaus and other organizations have
consolidated their virtual activities. Here is a
list of some of these gateway websites.
Athens, Virtually. A calendar of online concerts,
events, activities and tours in and around Athens.

ATL Museums at Home. Umbrella website for
Atlanta destinations that offer virtual tours,
online learning and interactive activities for
all ages, including the Children's Museum of
