Medieval armor
at Fernbank
International travel has been difficult during the last couple of years,
but now through May 15, visitors to Fernbank Museum in Atlanta can travel
through time to Europe for the Knights in Armor exhibition, a collection
of more than 100 rare examples of European armor, objects and medieval
weaponry. This renowned collection from the Museo Stibbert in Florence,
Italy, can also be viewed during Fernbank After Dark events, open to visitors
age 21 and older on April 8 and May 12.
" Our guests will leave this extraordinary exhibition with a better
understanding of the culture and traditions associated with knights, as well
as a greater appreciation for the artistry and beauty of the arms and armor
on display, " says Dr. Bobbi Hohmann, vice president of programming and
collections at Fernbank.
