Seafood celebration
This year's 23rd Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival
celebrates the coastal harvest Oct. 14-16 at J.F. Gregory Park in
Richmond Hill.
" Of course, seafood is the star of the festival, but we're about
much more than seafood, " says Kathryn Johnson, CEO of the
Richmond Hill Bryan County Chamber of Commerce. " We have
some top names in country music, carnival rides and plenty of
foods for all tastes, including non-seafood eaters. "
Country music artists John Michael Montgomery and Deana
Carter will perform on Saturday evening. Up-and-coming singers
Warren Zeiders and Maggie Baugh will open the show. The
festival also features arts and crafts.
" We suggest that people purchase their tickets for the
festival in advance, " Johnson says. " We're expecting a great crowd
for all three days. "
