" My experience at UGA and [the] UGA [School of] Law
helped form the direction and purpose of the rest of my life, "
says Ashley Gowder Mitchell, an attorney from Atlanta who
earned her undergraduate degrees in psychology and criminal
justice as well as her law degree at UGA. " I connected with other
students and faculty who were genuine, curious and altruistic.
They dreamed big and challenged my own goals. My passion for
public service started at UGA Law because it was encouraged
through our course and practicum work. Now I am connected to
politicians, business owners, judges and philanthropic leaders

The aerospace industry is Georgia's second-largest and
fastest-growing industry, according to the Georgia Department
of Economic Development. More than 200,000 Georgians work
in aerospace-related occupations, including engineers,
machinists and other skilled workers.
In Macon, Middle Georgia State University is home to the
School of Aviation and the Institute for Applied Aerospace
Research. It is one of only nine institutions in the U.S. to offer
three Federal Aviation Administration-certified programs.
