2012 after the show had been on hiatus for a half-dozen years.

Flying in from Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina,
the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demo Team headlines this year's
Wings Over North Georgia Air Show Oct. 19-20 at Richard
B. Russell Regional Airport. The single-aircraft demonstration
team will be celebrating the 50th year of the F-16 Fighting
Falcon-also known as the Viper-as an elite member of the
U.S. armed forces defense.
" The Viper performs precision aerial maneuvers to
demonstrate the unique capabilities of one of the Air Force's
premier multirole fighters, " Cowman says. " They'll be putting
on quite a show. "
The Rome show pays tribute to veterans and begins with a
parachute entrance and patriotic opening. Each day of the show
will feature a veterans parade, static displays of aircraft and
about four hours of high-speed and low-flying aerobatics. For
an additional fee, visitors can take a ride in a vintage aircraft or
helicopter.
Augusta Air Show and Atlanta Air Show
The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team from Langley
Air Force Base, Va., headlines the Augusta Air Show May 25-26
at Augusta Regional Airport. Produced by Air Dot Show, the
Augusta event will feature a blend of military, aerobatic and
other aircraft along with static displays on the tarmac.
" You can't beat the excitement of an air show; it's great
for people of all ages, " says Chris Dirato, Air Dot Show Tour
spokesman. " Patriotism is certainly on display when the
military demonstration teams are in the air. These pilots have
been deployed, they're among the best in the world and they
really bring out the crowds. "
Air Dot Show also produces the Atlanta Air Show Oct. 26-27
