Kingsland celebrates Mardi Gras, Cajun style
Downtown Kingsland will be hopping the
weekend of Feb. 28-March 1 as this coastal town in
Camden County celebrates KBAY 106.3's Mardi
Gras Festival.
" With dazzling costumes, colorful parade floats,
plenty of nonstop music and our Saturday night
headliner, country music's Collin Raye, the festival is
the very best way to bring this Louisiana tradition
east from New Orleans, " says Sarah Beard,
deputy director of operations for Visit
Kingsland.
This year marks the 30th annual
celebration, which consistently attracts
people from southeast Georgia and along
the coast.
This year's celebration also will
feature nearly 200 arts and
crafts vendors and festival food,
including Cajun fare.

an abundance of fun, " Beard
says. " The KBAY Mardi Gras
Festival is the perfect way to
embrace the festive charm of
this beloved Louisiana tradition
right here in Kingsland. "
