For the second year in a row, my doctor recommended I lose 15 pounds. Despite regular workouts, cutting back on high-calorie coffee drinks, and eating out less frequently, most of those pounds remain. Coming from a family of nine, where every evening meant a sit-down dinner of meat, potatoes, and vegetables swimming in butter, it should come as no surprise that I don’t find a plate of raw vegetables and rye crackers filling. Many of us strive to eat healthier, but sometimes striving feels more like struggling. Eating healthier shouldn’t be about deprivation; it should be about informed choices and delicious, satisfying food. With that in mind, our recipe developers logged hundreds of hours in the Test Kitchens to create flavorful, family-friendly recipes that we hope will leave you feeling nourished and energized. In this new year, let’s make a commitment to healthier eating for ourselves and our families.
