grand home Sisters on the Road Sisters on the Fly is community of camping women who all sport customized vintage campers. Founded by two sisters who love the outdoors, the organization boasts a web site, galleries of member campers, events around the country, and nearly 4,000 members. While the dream of chucking it all and traveling the country for a year or two works for some, most people prefer weekend getaways and "practicing" for retirement - checking out dream destinations. Americans are more willing to spend $15,000 for a camper or $100,000 for a motorhome because banks are more willing to finance the sales than they were pre-recession. Today's travelers value customized spaces that reflect their interests and needs. From custom kitchens to wifi to "glamping" this trend is here to stay. Many grandparents report enjoying their road trips with their grandchildren; some families have multiple campers for multigenerational getaways at their favorite campground or lake. Are you part of this trend? GRAND would love to see pictures of how you hit the road! We would love to share them on our Facebook page! 9 GRAND MAY JUNE 2017 A Filmmaker transformed this cargo van into a modern living space and working studio.https://www.facebook.com/GRANDmagazine/ https://twitter.com/grandMmagazine https://www.linkedin.com/in/christine-crosby-052a1337/ https://www.pinterest.com/GRANDmagazine2/ https://www.sistersonthefly.com/ https://www.outsideonline.com/1903131/give-it-life-lessons-family-camping http://www.grandmagazine.com/ https://www.facebook.com/GRANDmagazine/
