Description: Clariant's StyroMax UL3 catalysts (Fig. 1) enable a far more sustainable and economical solution for styrene producers. Developed for state-of-the-art, ultra-low steam-to-oil styrene production technology, StyroMax UL3-especially in its proprietary ribbed shape-is the first catalyst generation that combines both high activity and low selectivity. This allows for longer production periods for each catalyst load with greater styrene production outputs, as well as lower levels of feedstock conversion to less-valuable byproducts, such as toluene and benzene.
