2020 CATALYST HANDBOOK INDUSTRY CATEGORIES PROCESS CATEGORIES COMPANY INDEX PETROCHEMICAL Polymerization BCM Catalysts Application: BCM Catalysts (Fig. 1) are spheroidal, based on an alkyloxy magnesium carrier and used for propylene polymerization. The catalysts are suitable for gas-phase polypropylene (PP) processes such as Horizone, Innovene and Novolen. Description: The BCM-100 catalyst is suitable for preparation of general-purpose homo-PP, random and impact copolymerized PP. The BCM-200 catalyst is used for producing high-rubber-content (around 50 wt%) impact polypropylene. The BCM-300 catalyst is used for preparation of general-purpose, plasticizer-free homo-PP and random and impact copolymerized PP. The BCM-400 catalyst is plasticizer-free and used to produce top-grade (fine-denier, low-ash-content) fiber and high-melt-flow-index (MFI) homo-PP and copolymerized PP. The BCM-500 catalyst is plasticizer-free and applied to produce PPH, PPR and PPB pipe materials and high-melting-strength PP. Advantages: BCM Catalysts have good morphology, adjustable particle size, high activity and high stereotactic ability.
