ECONOMICS: Hydrox Holdings 1-MW system offers deployment at a cost per
kW installed of approximately $2,500, resulting in a 1-MW system total cost of
$2.5 MM. This equates to a hydrogen capital expenditure cost contribution over the
lifespan of the plant (including 2 stack replacements) of just over $1/kg of hydrogen.
Operating at 1.8 VDC with an overall power consumption of 55 kWh/kg and electricity
operational expenditure of $2.75/kg of hydrogen, assuming an electricity cost of
$0.05/KWh, this enables a production cost of under $4/kg of hydrogen.
APPLICATIONS/INDUSTRIES SERVED: Hydrox Holdings will open its order books in
2022 to start supplying local and international industries. Interests have been gathered
in the local mining, CO2-to-liquid, renewable energy and sugar industry.
ELECTROLYZER IN-UNIT ACCESSORIES: The electrolyzer system takes
ac input power conditioning and includes a rectifier, a transformer and other
control equipment.
Compression, purification (dryer, deoxidizer) and storage are not included in
the standard offering. Compression to 30 bar is provided as an optional add-on to
the system. This is dependent on the required takeoff quality requirements. Optional
purifier, deoxidizers and dryers (< 2 ppm water) are offered for upgradation to
fuel cell grade standard.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
* Installation: Hydrox Holdings provides a containerized hydrogen
generation solution, with high flexibility and ease of installation.
With the deployment of its systems, Hydrox Holdings will provide
installation, commissioning, final testing and sign off.
* Maintenance and/or repair: Hydrox Holdings electrolysis systems consist
of modular cell elements, allowing for ease of maintenance and seamless
cell replacement/maintenance. Hydrox Holdings will provide support
through modular cell replacement and systems repair and maintenance.
* Parts replacement: The electrolyzer membranes are manufactured
by an industrial supplier. Hydrox Holdings provides maintenance
services, which include membrane replacement
