DESCRIPTION: John Cockerill's DQ1000 is a
pressurized electrolyzer based on alkaline electrolysis
technology and offers a single 5-MW stack. DQ100
is a compact bipolar filter press stack unit and is
delivered as a complete pre-assembled module for easy
installation onsite. Hydrogen is generated efficiently
at high pressure and there is no need for additional
compression for most applications. This represents
a significant saving in terms of operating cost and
maintenance and guarantees continuous and sustained
gas production. A large stack size enables low capital
and operational expenditures, while minimizing the
number of installed units and footprint optimization.
Hydrogen generated in the electrolyzer enters a
hydrogen-lye separator, where the gas and the lye are
separated. Hydrogen leaving the gas-lye separation
system is saturated with water at 40°C. If a higher
purity is required, the residual oxygen is removed in a
deoxydizer and eventually dried in a dryer thereafter.
