5 MW PEM Electrolyzer
DESCRIPTION: Plug Power's proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers are
modular, scalable onsite hydrogen generators optimized for clean hydrogen production.
These hydrogen electrolyzers are based on more than 47 yr of experience in design,
production and sales of electrolyzer stacks and integrated products. The Plug Power
electrolyzer generates hydrogen from water using electricity and a special PEM
membrane. Produced hydrogen is green when generated by using renewable energy
inputs, such as solar or wind power.
ADVANTAGES/KEY FEATURES: Plug Power electrolyzers provide high efficiency,
robustness, flexibility and scalability to meet a wide array of performance requirements.
The electrolyzer is environmentally friendly, with the lowest operation and maintenance
in its class. The system provides option for turnkey containerized units for simple siting
and installation and high lifetimes with stable operating voltages.

* Water consumption rate: 9 kg/kg hydrogen produced
* Ambient temperature: -20°C-40°C
* Delivery pressure: up to 40 barg
* Life expectancy: 80,000 hr
* Footprint: 120 m3

heavy industry, e-mobility, renewable energy and energy storage, petrochemicals,
refining, synthetic fuels, ammonia/fertilizer, steel/metals production, renewable energy
grid, chemical/industrial processes, upgrading biomass and biofuel/biomethane/
biomethanol production, power generation, feedback to grid power, commercial
distributed gases and thermal processing.
