Energy, plans to build the UK's largest H2 hub. The $1.3B
project will build two H2 units to produce 1 GW of H2

EASTERN EUROPE, RUSSIA
AND THE CIS

tracking nearly 40 active H2 projects in the region. The following
are major projects and initiatives being undertaken
in Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS.
Saipem and Alboran Hydrogen have signed an MoU to
develop five green H2
plants in various locations in Italy
and around the Mediterranean. Three plants will be developed
in Italy, with the remaining two to be built in Morocco
and Albania.
MOL is planning to install a 10-MW electrolysis unit at
its Danube refinery in Hungary. The unit will enable MOL
to produce 1,600 tpy of green H2
. To be completed in 2023,
the project is part of the company's sustainability plan,
which calls for the group to reach net-zero emissions by
2050. Hungary will also join Poland, Czech Republic and
Slovakia in the multi-billion-dollar Black Horse project.
This capital-intensive project includes the development
of the entire green H2

value chain within these countries,
production, transportation and distribution.
In total, the project calls for the construction of 40 H2
electrolyzers and liquefiers to produce 320 tpd of green
H2
, which will be used to refuel heavy-duty H2
