Equipped with a rugged Final
Tier diesel engine, the 245G LC
excavator boasts 159 horsepower.
A Powerwise III engine/hydraulic
management system offers three
productivity modes that allow
the operator to select the digging
style that fits the job. Generous
flow, arm force and swing torque
help speed cycles, and an easy
power-boost button located on
the right-hand control is available
to muscle through any job.

The Bobcat E35 compact
excavator, part of the R-Series,
is a popular choice in the 3-ton
size class. Zero tail swing provides
unrestricted rotation, greater
flexibility and reduced potential
for damage to the machine and
surrounding property. It's available
in three options: with an angle
blade, long arm or clamp-ready
extendable arm. The E35 excavator can be upgraded with an
optional 33-horsepower engine
for even more productivity.

Doosan's DX235LCR-5 reduced
tail-swing excavators allow operators to work in confined areas
without sacrificing trenching capabilities. With a 180-net-horsepower diesel engine and a maximum digging reach of 31 feet 7
inches, the excavator is designed
for exceptional performance.
A tighter front minimum swing
radius makes the machine ideal
for operating in congested job
sites, such as roadways, without
blocking traffic.

With a front swing radius of 7 feet
5 inches and a tail swing radius of
5 feet, the new Cat 315F can dig,
swing and dump within a working
space of 12 feet 5 inches. When
rotated 90 degrees and working
over the side, just a 5-inch counterweight extends beyond the
track width. Also, the 315F's boom
is positioned toward the center of
the machine, helping reduce the
front swing radius, and providing
greater stability to support more
lift capacity.

CASE Construction Equipment
introduces the all-new CX145D SR
minimum-swing radius excavator
to its D Series lineup. Designed to
provide ample digging and lifting
power in a small footprint, the
CX145D SR features a compact
counterweight and modified
boom placement. With an operating weight of 32,100 pounds and
a 102 HP Tier 4 Final engine, the
machine offers bucket digging
forces up to 21,400 foot-pounds
and lift capacities up to 21,350
pounds.

Komatsu's 167-net-horsepower, Tier 4 Final PC238USLC-11
hydraulic excavator has a heavy
counterweight mass and rounded
cab with sliding door for true
tight-tail swing performance
and better lift capacity than
most conventional, same-sizeclass excavators. The KOMTRAX
remote monitoring system and
display panel deliver vital machine
data for easy observing and quick
operator action. Komatsu CARE
provides complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first
three years or 2,000 hours.

The updated, reduced-tail-swing
Hitachi ZX245USLC-6 is powered
by an EPA Final Tier 4 (FT4)/EU
Stage IV Isuzu engine, complete
with integrated, effective engine
technologies that do not require
a diesel particulate filter. Built with
the same toughness as Hitachi's
large mining excavators, it delivers
similar efficiency, reliability and
durability - in an easy-to-maneuver package. Standard equipped
with five years of ZXLink Ultimate,
it provides 24/7 online access to
valuable machine information.

The Volvo ECR355E excavator
fills a need in the market for a
powerful, 35-ton machine with
a short swing radius capable of
heavy, high-production work in
tight areas. It delivers an 18-percent increase in horsepower and
28-percent increase in torque
over its predecessor model. Also,
ECR355E's electro-hydraulic
system works with the 241-horsepower Volvo engine, resulting in
10-percent greater fuel efficiency,
as well as reduced emissions and
faster operation.
