ICON's slide rail shoring systems are made of high-yield, Grade
50 steel and are comprised of lineal panels, rails or posts, and
bracing that enable the contractor to install small and large
pits and trenches for a variety of excavations. Compared to
conventional sheeting methods, slide rail installation doesn't
require a vibratory hammer and needs a smaller crew, so it can be done 50-percent faster and with a
30- to-40-percent reduction in labor costs.

Efficiency Production's new Quick-Access manbridge-ladder
platform-platform cage unit is the perfect OSHA-compliant
solution for fall protection when installing utilities in a trench
shield or slide rail system. An external 2- by 4-foot ladder
platform with gate connects to the outside of a slide rail panel
or trench shield sidewall. An internal 4- by 6-foot ladder platform cage with guard rails and ladder
assist posts pins onto the external platform. An 8-foot long manbridge with integrated guard rails can
be used in combination with the platform or for cross-trench access. A reversing hinge connects the
bridge and platform for access up to or down from a bank.

The 2019 Underground Construction Technology International Conference & Exhibition is now accepting program proposals for
its industry-leading Educational Program.
The sessions provide information readily
beneficial to an audience of contractors,
municipalities and other owners plus consulting engineers.

UCT 2019 is Jan. 29-31, in Fort Worth, Texas.
The annual event emphasizes the practical,
real-world needs of contractors, owners and
engineers in the overall underground construction and rehabilitation markets.

Types of presentations include (but are not limited to) the construction and rehabilitation of
underground infrastructure piping and conduit systems, including trenchless and open-cut, via:
o Case histories and project presentations
o Enhancements of current construction and rehabilitation equipment/methods
o Effective or new concepts for construction and rehab equipment/methods
o Industry trends, issues and concerns
o Emerging technologies
o Application of new technology or innovative use of existing technologies on a project
o Damage prevention and safety
