L-Series Utility Wheel Loaders Primed to Take Job Sites by Storm
Three, new powerful and productive John Deere
L-Series utility wheel loaders-524L, 544L and 624L-
offer an intuitive solution for projects that require agility
and versatility.
"Our next generation of wheel loaders improves
upon the legacy of the John Deere wheel loader line,"
said Chris Cline, product marketing manager for utility
wheel loaders, John Deere Construction & Forestry.
"The L-Series boasts several improvements over previous
models designed to positively impact productivity, comfort and visibility, resulting in increased profitability."
The most notable change from its K-Series predecessors is the cab, which is roomier and more comfortable,
offering more functional storage and floor space. HVAC performance is also enhanced, now including rear defrost,
to increase air flow while reducing noise. Three standard 12-volt auxiliary power ports enable charging of multiple
devices. Optional remote-heated, adjustable mirrors increase job-site visibility.
Behind the wheel, electrohydraulic (EH) loader controls with integrated third and fourth function auxiliary hydraulics
provide faster cycle times, moving more material in shorter periods of time. Two multifunction buttons integrated into
the hydraulic controls allow the operator to assign a function to each button, improving operability and productivity.
Improvements to the machine boom structure directly result in increased productivity. The design increases visibility to the coupler, bucket or forks, reducing overall cycle times, material spillage and equipment damage. Additional
options include enhanced production buckets with integrated spill guards, profiled side cutters and greater rollback,
improving bucket fill and material retention.
A new shaft-style fork design offers more visibility and tine length options, including 48-inch, 60-inch and 72-inch.
Smoother boom and bucket hydraulic kickouts reduce operator fatigue, while new standard parallel lift linkage
improves load leveling, limits bucket spillage and increases fork operation speed.
Return-to-dig settings can now be set from the cab for both directions of the bucket. Boom and Bucket EH metering rate aggressiveness allows the operator to choose a setting-low, medium or high-for quicker hydraulics or
reduced response in precision operations. Attachment configuration settings can be saved, making it easier to switch
between attachments without impacting productivity.
All three models are available with optional High Lift (HL) and High Lift Plus (HL Plus) selections. The latter features
hinge pin heights that are 12 to 13 inches greater than current HL pin heights, allowing the operator to dump into
higher trucks or wagons.
The 524L, 544L and 624L feature fuel-efficient Final Tier 4 John Deere 6.8-liter, diesel engines and boast 152, 166
and 192 net peak horsepower, respectively. From a service perspective, the hydraulic hose and electrical wire harness
routing and retention are improved, and the machines feature 40 fewer leak points, lowering potential repair costs.

Kubota
kubotausa.com
Kubota Tractor Corporation unveiled its new SVL65-2 to the company's popular
compact track loader line, further diversifying its construction equipment
offerings. Positioned in a lighter ROC weight class than its predecessors, the new
compact track loader features an advanced hydraulic multi-function valve, the
line's signature slide-up overhead front door, and on/off self-leveling capability.
"Its small-but-mighty size allows the SVL65-2 to maneuver easily in tight areas and is lighter weight for less soil compaction but still packs a powerful punch in efficiency, making it an ideal choice for landscapers, rental yards and small
contractors," said Tim Boulds, Kubota Construction Equipment product operations manager.
Powered by a 68-horsepower engine, the SVL65-2 boasts a wide working range including a rated operating capacity of
2,100 pounds at 35 percent or 3,000 pounds at 50 percent, a reach of 34.9 inches and a hinge pin height of 118.5 inches.
An Advanced Multifunction Valve (AMV Valve) provides smooth operation when using simultaneous functions, such as
auxiliary, boom and bucket circuits, allowing operators to get the job done faster.

Felling Trailers Inc. released an
advanced design for its IT-I Series
model line that incorporates
additional standard features,
structural strength and ease of
operator use.
Advanced standard specifications
include:
* Hitch area has been redesigned
with a more user-friendly,
integrated nose plate.
* Cylinder Lugs, the point where
the cushion cylinders(s) attach to
the crossmembers incorporate
additional structural integrity for
cylinder crossmembers.
* Dual stop, turn, taillights located
on the rear of the fenders deliver
ideal placement of the light
system along with safeguarding
it from damage when loading/
unloading equipment.
* D-rings that were once located
on the topside rail behind the
fender on the rear of the tilt deck
are now located on the side of
the trailer bed. This ensures the
D-ring location is at the widest
point of the deck, providing
operator's ease of use when
securing equipment.
* Operator friendly tilt deck
latch design.
Model Changes/Enhancements
from previous design:
* FT-10IT-I and FT-12IT-I are built
to the same spec (7k axles and
16" tires); however, FT-10IT-I
does not have reflective tape and
has a GVWR rating of 9,980lbs.
* FT-14IT-I now has 215/75R17.5"
tires on plate wheels standard.
* FT-14IT-I has an 8" I-beam frame
compared to the 6" I-beam on
