PPI Publishes MAB Guidelines
for Pipe Bursting with HDPE Pipe

Vermeer Mid Atlantic Acquires Vermeer Northeast
Continuing expansion into the industrial
equipment industry, Vermeer Mid Atlantic,
an All Roads company, acquired Vermeer
Northeast, a Pinnacle Award-winning
dealer partner of Vermeer Corporation,
with locations in New York, Massachusetts
and Connecticut.
The addition makes the combined
entity one of the largest Vermeer dealer
partners in the country. Its 15 locations
cover a service area that includes South
Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland,

In conjunction with the acquisition and as a reflection of the changing

Northeast adopted a new name - Vermeer All Roads. This aligns the company's
branding to better represent the markets it serves, which now span the
Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Ohio Valley.*

Vacuworx Adds to Sales Team Worldwide

A new step-by-step instruction document for the pipe bursting installation
of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) PE 4710 pipe has been published by
the Municipal Advisory Board, an independent, non-commercial adviser to
the Municipal & Industrial Division of the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI). MAB
Guidelines for PE 4710 Pipe Bursting of Potable Water Mains (MAB-5-2019)
is available free of charge via the Publications section of plasticpipe.org.
The new publication is for static pipe bursting to replace potable water
mains using HDPE piping systems that conform to AWWA standards. The
document includes multiple sections, such as pro-forma text for project
submittals, minimum contractor qualifications, planning tips, installation
details and more, to provide an efficient, leak-free project.
MAB-5-2019 can be adopted in conjunction with the MAB Model
Speciﬁcations for PE 4710 Buried Potable Water Service, Distribution and
Transmission Pipes and Fittings, or modified by the specifier to fit the
project. These guidelines are for use by utilities while developing project
specifications, as well as for sewer force main replacement.

Vacuworx has announced an addition to its international sales team as the
company continues to explore and develop new opportunities for the faster,

Bruce Williamson joined Vacuworx as regional sales
manager, serving the Southeast territory of Florida, Georgia,
Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. Based in Panama City Beach, Fla., he is responsible
for maintaining superior customer satisfaction in the sale,
rental and service of Vacuworx lifting systems for all lines of
pipe-handling and construction-related equipment, with focus on meeting the
diversified needs of authorized distributors and valued end-users. His previous
experience includes building successful customer relationships in both the
private and public sectors.
Christian Sellan is area business manager for Southern
Latin America, based in Santiago, Chile. In this role, he
supports and develops Vacuworx customers in Chile, Peru,
Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina, while also identifying new
business opportunities and growth potential to expand the
company's distributor network. An industrial engineer by
trade, Sellan has a diverse, entrepreneurial background with experience in transportation and logistics, information technology and retail sales.
