The new engine on the 5-tonne class Cat 305

Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas Inc.
(HCMA) announces the arrival of the ZX50U-5N
excavator. With its reduced tail-swing design, the
10,560-lb (4,790-kg) ZX50U-5N is perfect for
working in congested areas. An independent
swing boom and 360-degree rotation let you
work almost anywhere.
ZX50U-5N allows the engine speed to be
matched to the job with power/economy work
modes that are usually only available on larger
excavator models.
The power mode provides higher engine
speeds for most general digging work, while
the economy mode reduces engine speed for
lighter digging jobs. This results in lower noise
and decreased fuel consumption.

With an operating weight of 12,940 pounds and
a bucket digging force of 9,190 pounds, the
CX60C is the largest, most powerful mini
excavator in the CASE lineup.
Standard features include a short-radius
tail-swing design, adjustable boom, hydraulic
push blade for backfilling and improved
stability. In addition, it has auxiliary hydraulics
for easy thumb and attachment use, automatic
2-speed travel for smoother shifting across
varying terrain, and a pattern selector that
allows operators to easily switch between
SAE or ISO controls.

The 48.8-hp Doosan DX50Z-7 mini excavator is
part of the 5-metric-ton size class. Its Zero-Tail
Swing design makes it a popular choice for
customers working in confined spaces on
construction job sites or landscaping projects.
A standard enclosed cab with heat and
air conditioning will keep operators working
comfortably throughout the day. A heated
adjustable seat is available as an option for
additional operator comfort.
Customers can upgrade to a steel track
option for use in job-site conditions that may
otherwise damage rubber tracks. Standard
attachments for the DX50Z-7 mini excavator
include a bucket, quick coupler, and a thumb.
The largest of Hyundai's compact excavator
models, HX85A fills a transitional spot in its
overall excavator product line between the
compact and full-sized models.
Powered by a Yanmar T4 final/stage V compliant
engine, HX85A delivers 65.1 net horsepower
at 2,400 rpm to power its all-new load sensing
hydraulic system, which allows for reduced
operator fatigue and precise controllability.
