Advance and disseminate knowledge related
to the holistic, life-cycle asset management
of utility infrastructure.

Recent Activities

* Approved a Task Committee, focusing
on standard data collection processes,
to create white papers and webinar
materials that illustrate how water/
wastewater utilities can address typical
goals and challenges in their distribution
and collection networks using
standardized, commonly collected data.
* Preparing an abstract for a roundtable
discussion to be included at the Pipelines
2020 Conference. Representatives
from water utilities of major cities and
consultants will share their experiences
in driving infrastructure improvements
through application of asset
management principles and processes.

to improve interactions of all utilities with the
surrounding infrastructure and environment
during project planning and delivery. Also
provide research and development leadership
related to utility investigations, coordination,
design, data management and security.

Recent Activities

* The new ASCE CI/UESI Standard
Guideline for Recording and Exchanging
Utility Infrastructure Data, utility "as-built"
standard, is in committee balloting and
due to be published at the end of 2019.
* Conducted a webinar on effective utility
records investigation.
* Worked on developing a Subsurface
Utility Engineering (SUE) Manual of
Practice; and guidelines for projects,
a webinar and national certification
program on utility coordination.
* Presented an eight-session engineering
track within the Common Ground
Alliance (CGA) conference, March 25
in Tampa.
