United for Libraries' "The Laugh's On Us,"
featuring headlining standup comedian and
author Paula Poundstone, from 5:30 - 7:30
p.m. on Sunday, June 25.
Scottoline and Serritella are the authors of
the forthcoming I Need a Lifeguard Everywhere
but the Pool (St. Martin's Press.) Scottoline
is a New York Times bestselling and Edgar
award-winning novelist. There are 30 million
copies of her novels in print. She and Serritella
also write a Sunday column entitled "Chick
Wit" for The Philadelphia Inquirer. She lives
in the Philadelphia suburbs with an array of
disobedient pets. Serritella is a New York Times
bestselling author and graduated cum laude
from Harvard University, where she won the
Thomas Temple Hoopes Prize for her novella.
Paula Poundstone, author of the forthcoming The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search
for Human Happiness (Workman), has been a
stand-up comic for nearly 25 years. Her long
list of successes includes HBO specials, an
Emmy Award, two Cable ACE Awards, and
an America Comedy Award for Best Female
Stand-Up. An outspoken advocate for libraries, she has been the national spokesperson for
United for Libraries since 2008.
Joining Poundstone, Scottoline, and Serritella, will be David Litt, speechwriter for
President Barack Obama (and "comic muse for
the president"), and James Breakwell. professional comedy writer whose Twitter account
@XplodingUnicorn has more than 751,000
followers.
Wine and cheese will be served, and a
book signing will follow. Advance tickets to
