Describe your business in one sentence.

MTS Seating collaborates with interior designers
and specifiers to design, manufacture and
sell innovative seating products to Lodging,
Restaurant, Convention, Club and University
customers.

How different does your company look
today from ﬁve years ago?

MTS has become a much more design-oriented
company - even more so now with the
introduction of our Kay Lang Collection, Catalyst,
Piper, Vio and Impilato series of banquet and
meeting room stack chairs. Also, we now have
Josh Swy as Director of Design. Josh feels that
hospitality seating can make as strong a design
statement as any other element of a room.
He enjoys collaborating with designers and
customers to bring their vision to light. Today's
MTS is artistically inspired, driven by design
and focused on sustainability. We call it The Art
of Seating.

What differentiates your company from
its competitors in the marketplace?

It really starts with the fact that we design,
manufacture and sell the products we
offer to the market. Currently, in our 60th
year of business, we understand both form
and function. Our corporate philosophy
to collaboratively work together with designers
and specifiers to provide custom seating solutions
is unparalleled in the industry.
We bring an artistic touch to product
development that takes hospitality seating to
another level. Seating must be about function
and comfort. But it can also be a true work
of art. By collaborating with designers about
their vision for a room or facility, MTS can
create seating solutions that contribute to the
overall appeal of projects. And, we are still
providing performance-oriented products with
unparalleled structural integrity and legendary,
industry-leading warranties.

What is your company's philosophy
toward customization?

Customization is what we're about. We
approach it with enthusiasm and a collaborative
spirit. Providing customized products to the
market is one of MTS' core strengths. With
our in-house design, engineering and tooling

departments, we are able to prototype samples
and manufacture customer orders in relatively
short timeframes.

Brieﬂy describe a product/innovation
you have recently introduced.

We are very excited to have recently introduced
a comprehensive new line of Ergonomic Guest
Room and Conference Seating. These chairs are
contract quality, made in the USA, and come
standard with a lifetime warranty. Available in a
variety of styles and options, these products meet
the needs of the hospitality market from select
service to luxury brands. They can be used in
hotel guest rooms, general meeting and training
rooms, as well as executive conference spaces.

Where does your company stand on
sustainability?

In 2008, MTS became the first metal-framed
hospitality seating manufacturer to earn
GREENGUARD® certification on our entire
line of seating products. Needless to say, we take
sustainability very seriously; so much so that we
developed a complete sustainability philosophy
that we call SynerGreen®. SynerGreen is
our promise to the market that we will make
continuous environmental improvements in our
products and processes, while practicing sound
business principles that focus on satisfying
customer needs.
In 2014, we also partnered with the
MindClick Global Hospitality Sustainability
Performance Index (HSP Index) to further
solidify our status as the sustainability leader
in the metal-framed hospitality seating market.
The HSP Index measures the sustainability
performance of suppliers and their products.
This rating system gives hoteliers, and their
purchasers and specifiers, a comparative
measure indicating the level at which suppliers
are operating with regard to socially and
environmentally responsible practices.
