advertorial Q&A with genevieve ghaleb interior designer, XYcontemporary "How great would it be to take the palette from outside your window or from your balcony and just bring it into the space? -Genevieve Ghaleb DXV tapped the celebrated expertise of Genevieve Ghaleb to reimagine the iconic city of Miami in the Contemporary Movement. For more on Genvieve's room, visit DXV online at dxv.com. What city and movement inspired you? I was inspired by the present-day Contemporary Movement in Miami to create this room for a busy gentleman in need of intentional daily luxury. A lot of the elements here are custom. Simple, clean lines, very well proportioned. The Percy® Collection faucets emulate this perfectly-their proportion is like no other I've seen in the market. So refined, they just sit back unobtrusively in this contemporary space. Why did you choose this bathtub? It so happens that the Lyndon® Freestanding Soaking Tub is by far my favorite tub on the market. It is very curvaceous and sexy, very well-proportioned. I like that it marries well into contemporary design, yet remains flexible enough to be used in other spaces. 010 October 2016 hospitalitydesign.com What is one of your favorite qualities about this bathroom? It's that unobtrusive line. So when you walk into the space, everything is sort of tucked away. Nothing is really in your face, except for either a great sightline to an oceanfront view or maybe some colorful artwork.http://www.dxv.com http://www.hospitalitydesign.com
