As a leader in retail and sports
interior design with more than
30 years of experience, Childs
was a natural choice for Atlanta's
highly anticipated and dynamic
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which
will host the Super Bowl this
year. The massive project on page
028 includes seven clubs, all of
which take sporting events and
arena hospitality to a new level.

Since opening his own New
York firm in 2000, Coben has
made a name for himself in the
restaurant world, crafting spaces
for great chefs, including Gabriel
Kreuther and James Fraser,
and restaurateurs such as Joe
Bastianich. He can now add author
to his list of accomplishments
with his first book, An Architect's
Cookbook: A Culinary Journey
Through Design, found on page 033,
which celebrates both the food and
the design in many of these spaces.

By marrying architecture and
technology, the Boolean Operator
on page 041 is one of Fornes' most
innovative projects to date. It's not
unusual for the Brooklyn-based
designer, who has spent the past
decade dreaming up pavilions and
installations that challenge the
status quo and our perception of
reality.

New York-based Jacobs was an early
advocate for sensitive and thoughtful
renovation projects. He's done it
again with the cutting-edge urban
resort Hotel X Toronto on page 024,
where he restored a former military
barracks into an event space and
topped the property with a threestory rooftop (one of his other
specialties) that offers heady views
of the city.
