finalist casual restaurant V DTLA Los Angeles An eclectic array of textures, patterns, and abundant greenery help make V DTLA a sensory-driven oasis in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Led by Madrid-based firm Livit, the all-day dining institution was born in Sweden, but makes a stateside debut in a 5,600-squarefoot dual-level space with European-inspired sophistication sprinkled with Art Deco details. The design team celebrated the location- the former home of the Brock & Co. jewelry store-by highlighting architectural gems like original mahogany display cases and a restored ornate ceiling. Fittingly, a mix of contemporary photography, antique pieces that pay homage to the building's jewelry roots, and murals commissioned from famed graffiti artists nod to LA's street art scene.
