How has your company evolved
over the years?
Porcelanosa is one of the largest
privately-owned companies in
the world that manufactures
tile, kitchen, bath, hardwood, LVT
flooring, and solid surface that
has a strong global presence
in more than 85 countries.
Porcelanosa started operations in
the United States over 20 years
ago and has quickly grown to
become the choice resource for
homeowners, builders, architects

exhibits. Porcelanosa rapidly delivers
and tirelessly supports the pre- and
post-sales service, that many have
come to expect from the trusted
leader in the tile, solid surface, and
LVT flooring industry. Today we have
a large number of showrooms in the
US, allowing our company to be very
close to our clients.
How was your business changed in
the face of healthcare reform?
In 2015, Porcelanosa launched
the national healthcare division,
Porcelanosa Healthcare Design
Solutions. We are committed to
expanding our knowledge reaching
the most challenging demands
from our clients and providing
competitive products for their
healthcare projects. Our team of
professionals is trained to take a
product specification into fruition by
providing our clients with competitive
prices. In addition, we strive to
make sure all orders are supplied on
time using our strategically located
distribution centers within the US.
We are also pleased to announce
that became a Level Industry Partner

with the American Academy of
Healthcare Interior Designers
(AAHID).
Tell us about new products/
innovations you're introducing.
Porcelanosa launched its own
Solid Surface division. KRION®,
Porcelanosa's New Generation
Solid Surface, has achieved a
composition of 75% mineral in
its formulation. By adding more
minerals, KRION® shows better
performance than competitors:
* More luminosity in solid colors
and the whitest white in the
market
* Highest resistance to fire -
limited contribution to fire, smoke
propagation and burning droplets.
* Highest resistance to UV light -
we're actually the only company
installing our material outdoors
and as a rain screen.
Porcelanosa is constantly
introducing new and innovative
products. During 2016, we have
introduced to the market our Air
Slate, which is a 2-4mm thin slab
with a back resin (polyester) and
fiberglass layer. The slabs are
available in large format pieces
of 24" by 94". Some of Air Slate's
unique qualities include:
* High resistance
* Flexibility (great bending radius).
Great for curved shapes
* Dimensional stability
* Lightweight
* Ideal for refurbishments
In addition, Porcelanosa launched
Xlight, a new thin large porcelain
panel that is available in sizes up to
39"x118" and has an array of colors
and finishes.
