If you're curious about how to attend our annual
HCD Forum, here's the scoop By Kristin D. Zeit

Forum three years ago, I've added two trips to
my annual calendar: one to Forum itself, plus
a scouting trip well in advance of Forum to nail
down the location and venue. I'm not gonna
lie: That scouting trip is the new best part of
my job.
We debuted this event in style in Sonoma
County, Calif., in 2016, traipsing from one
gorgeous vineyard to another. Not wanting a
sophomore slump,
in 2017 we booked the breathtaking Cliff

most recent scouting trip took me to Utah,

a sort of homecoming-I lived in Salt Lake
City for a year during my early 20s-and I was
thrilled to go back. This part of the country is a mystery to many folks (especially those who don't ski), but in my opinion, Utah should be on everyone's bucket list. Google "Utah national parks" and you'll see why.
For HCD Forum 2018, we're sticking closer to the airport for convenience and taking the festivities to the lovely town of Park City and
the grand mountainside accommodations of the St. Regis Deer Valley
resort. Early September is a beautiful time of year there: It's the end of
the summer season (not too hot, not too cold), with lush, green slopes
everywhere. As with every Forum, the agenda will take full advantage
of the location. I suppose "work hard, play hard" could be the unofficial

motto of HCD Forum-yes, we'll dig in deep
with discussions on important healthcare
challenges and design solutions. But we'll eat,
drink, and socialize like royalty, too.
If you've been intrigued by our past Forum
coverage but unclear on the particulars of attending, here's what you need to know: The
core group of attendees comprises our editorial
advisory board (see page 7) and the winners of
our annual HCD 10 awards, who are honored
during a special dinner, as well as sponsors. But
we do reserve a number of spots for additional
paid attendees-qualified healthcare design
professionals (architects, interior designers,
providers, clinicians, engineers, etc.) eager to
contribute to the conversations and activities
in a meaningful way. The ultimate goal is a manageably sized event that's ideal for high-level
conversation, learning, and networking. Registration cost per attendee is $995, plus travel and
lodging.

long you've worked in healthcare, etc.). Qualified attendees will receive an invitation with a
registration code in late spring, when registration officially opens.
