Industry members reunited at the 2018 HCD Expo,
making great moments for all of us to remember

WITH THE 2018 Healthcare Design Expo & Confer-

ence now in the books, the event again established
itself as the leading trade show and conference in
the healthcare design sector. The content of the conference continues to be expanded, responding to the
market as well as new partnerships we've formed
within the industry. The exhibit floor looked unbelievable, and the products on display were an outstanding mix of everything design professionals
need today. It's always a pleasure to see attendees
and exhibitors so deeply engaged in conversation,
sharing ideas and solutions to challenges.
A welcome reception sponsored by Dräger and Steelcase Health opened the
2018 expo hall, where hundreds of the top names in healthcare design showcased thousands of products and services. Our Solutions Theater was again
standing room only for product demonstrations and vendor presentations as
well as educational sessions led by the Health Care Institute. The expo concluded with Jennifer Brownlee, design project manager at the University of
Utah Health, becoming our latest $10,000 cash giveaway winner. A big thank
you goes out to our giveaway sponsors: Ava by Novalis Innovative Flooring,
Inpro, Vividboard, and Whitehall Manufacturing.
The city of Phoenix was a gracious host, welcoming the thousands of healthcare design professionals who attended this year's event. Our time spent
there included visits to new healthcare facilities in town, while back at the
convention center we enjoyed learning from top experts in the field during
fabulous keynote presentations, awards programs, and more than 150 educational sessions. We also got to see what healthcare delivery in the future might
look like during the finale of our Breaking Through conceptual design competition. And, of course, we also enjoyed some time relaxing and networking
with friends both old and new.
Another highlight of the HCD Expo was the Rock-N-Bowl networking
party, sponsored by KI, which continues to be one of the best events around!
Attendees enjoyed great food and drink, prizes, dancing, and-of course-
bowling.
A very special thanks to Carolina, an OFS Company, our presenting sponsor, along with all the other sponsors, exhibitors, association partners, speakers, and attendees for making the 2018 HCD Expo an overwhelming success.
Additional gratitude goes out to our partners at The Center for Health Design
and the awesome Healthcare Design staff.
