COMMUNITY CARES
In an effort to " help health happen, " Henry Schein Cares
is committed to advancing health equity in underserved
communities by reducing the disparity in the delivery of
health care. Community Cares supports efforts to improve
access to care for vulnerable populations, such as at-risk
children, communities of color, and people with disabilities
through community-based health and wellness initiatives.

Enhancing the Wellness of People with Disabilities
Under the Viscardi Center's network of 501(c)(3) organizations,
PAOH is a global public-private partnership and the first to
nationally assemble and connect a consortium of dental and
medical professionals, corporations, organizations, policymakers,
educators, people with disabilities, caregivers, and other
stakeholders. PAOH's mission is to act as a collective catalyst
for change that will not only improve access to oral health care,
but also ultimately improve the overall health of the disabled
community.

The Organization for Safety, Asepsis, and Prevention (OSAP)
OSAP aims to prevent disease transmission and ensure the
safe and infection-free delivery of oral health care. OSAP is a
community of practitioners, educators, researchers, and industry
experts working together to close the gap between policy
and practice. Nonprofit organizations providing access to oral
health care especially rely on OSAP for its safety practices.
Dental Lifeline Network
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 1974, whose mission
is to improve the overall health of people with disabilities who are
elderly or medically fragile and have no other way to get help.
DLN accomplishes its mission by developing and coordinating
collaborative relationships that provide essential resources for
direct-service programs, especially charitable care.
Special Olympics Healthy Athletes
Since 1997, Special Olympics has been offering Healthy Athletes®
screenings and education to athletes with intellectual disabilities
in a welcoming, fun environment. With support from partners like
Henry Schein, Special Olympics has trained close to 300,000
health professionals and students to provide health screenings to
people with intellectual disabilities, and delivered over 2 million
free health screenings.
