The first medical aspirator to be powered by alkaline batteries: no need for charging Two
alkaline battery power options are included The first option: disposable alkaline battery pack
that will power the unit for 3 continuous hours When the battery pack is depleted, simply replace
it with a fresh battery pack The second option: a battery holder that houses 10 AAA batteries
(not included) and will power the unit 60-100 min When the batteries in the battery holder are
depleted, simply replace them with fresh ones This device provides suction as efficient as a
large aspirator and weighs only 2 6 lb, small enough to carry in a " first-in " kit and taken to the
patient's side where it is needed It can function as an extremely efficient handheld suction
device or as a small, yet powerful and effective traditional suction pump LED on the side
monitors battery voltage of the alkaline battery pack and lights to alert the user when voltage is
becoming low and should be replaced

The HI-D suction tip has an inner diameter
nearly twice as large as traditional surgical
suction tips (1
⁄4
" ) and nearly as large as the
inner diameter of the suction tubing This larger
diameter allows a patient's airway to be cleared
more efficiently with the HI-D than with the
traditional surgical suction tip The HI-D has a
thumb port so the caregiver can regulate the
suction at the distal end of the suction tip as
well as side eye holes to prevent soft-tissue
damage
