Production Statement Scenery for this production was conceptualized around the play's central theme of death and rebirth. Supporting this theme, a large pool of water wrapped the front of the stage. Six feet deep in its center, the pool allowed actors to appear and disappear into the water. A neutral unit set with multiple levels was necessary to support several locations and large time spans within the story. 38 theatre design & technology summer 2012
