Production Statement The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler, the satirical romp throughout the ages of iconic literature, rests on universal themes such as the desire to change versus the struggle to uphold a reputation. The design of this play realistically portrays historical figures such as Mammy from Gone with the Wind, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, even Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars, while emphasizing each character's struggle and desire. summer 2012 theatre design & technology 39
