Production Statement The creative team set the play in 1938.The scenic design for the drawing room, the location of the first and third acts, had an oppressive and impressive feeling indicating the wealth and power of the Seton Family. In contrast, the second act takes place in the fifth floor children's playroom and nursery which reflected the gentleness and comforting qualities of the Seton's deceased matriarch. summer 2012 theatre design & technology 41
