A global pandemic, the rising racial justice movements, and the intensifying climate crisis have altered how we live and work. The theatre industry is no exception. However, these changes have been happening while theaters have been closed, providing an opportunity for us to reflect and look critically at our own industry. We are reopening performance spaces in a world that is very different from pre-pandemic 2019. This is a new era.
