New Directors Join IANA's Board The board of directors of the Intermodal Association of North America has welcomed four new members, each with three-year terms beginning Jan. 1. The four new directors, chosen in IANA's fall election, are: * Adriene B. Bailey, vice president of strategic business development for the transportation division at Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc.; * Kate Betsworth, vice president of intermodal operations at Union Pacific Railroad Co.; * Robert A. "Bob" Curry Jr., president and chief executive officer of California Multimodal LLC; and * Keith Lovetro, president and chief executive officer of TRAC Intermodal. In addition, William Clement, vice president of intermodal at CSX Transportation, was re-elected to a new three-year term, also expiring at the end of 2016. Bailey, who was chosen to fill an at-large seat, is a well known transportation and logistics industry veteran. Her positions prior to joining Yusen Logistics in 2011 included Bailey chief commercial officer of Pacer International, president of Pacer Stacktrain and assistant vice president for service planning and operations research at CSX Transportation. She also currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Intermodal Transportation Institute at the University of Denver. Bailey is an engineering graduate of Princeton University and earned her master's of business administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Also filling an at-large seat is Betsworth, who has been in her current position at UP since February 2013. During her tenure with the Betsworth Omaha, Neb.based Class I railroad, Betsworth has held positions including assistant vice president and general manager of Union Pacific Distribution Services; assistant vice president for industrial products marketing; general director of UP's Market Development and Sales Center; and senior business director for chemicals. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Iowa State University. Curry is assuming a Motor Carrier Division slot on the IANA board, and is continuing in the tradition of his grandfather, who founded Curry California Cartage Co. 68 years ago. He is currently a member of IANA's Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee and holds board seats on the Coalition for Responsible Transportation, American Trucking Associations' Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference, North American Chassis Pool Cooperative and Intermodal Transportation Institute at the University of Denver.
