INTERMODAL RETURNS TO GROWTH IN Q1
International Containers Lead Overall Intermodal

First Quarter 2017
Rail Volume Results
After a trying 2016, intermodal
volumes rebounded in Q1,
gaining 2.0% from the previous
year. What's most impressive
about the Q1 growth rate is that
it comes on the heels of a 2.0%
gain in shipments in Q1 of 2016.
This suggests that Q1's increase
was real growth and not just
a bounce back due to weaker
comparisons.
