Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli's pioneering research has contributed to major advancements in the semiconductor and electronics industries. He helped co-found the world's two largest electronic design automation (EDA) companies-Cadence and Synopsys. Dr. Sangiovanni-Vincentelli holds a seat on the faculty of the University of California at Berkeley, and the 31
