Michael N. Geselowitz

For enhancing the values of the IEEE History Center and developing many initiatives promoting
engineering and technology history

Known by coworkers and volunteers as the "face of IEEE's historical knowledge," Michael N. Geselowitz has provided exemplary leadership in directing the IEEE History Center in its efforts to preserve, research, and promote the legacy of electrical engineering and computing. For the past 21 years, Geselowitz has led the History Center in programs including the development of the IEEE Virtual Museum
(now the Engineering & Technology History Wiki), REACH (Raising Engineering Appreciation through the Conduit of History), and
the IEEE Archiving policy. He has refined and grown the IEEE Milestones (recognizing significant technical achievements in areas associated with IEEE), which has grown during his tenure. He also arranged and oversaw the move of the History Center from Rutgers
University to Stevens Institute of Technology, which became IEEE's new strategic partner in the technological history education.
An IEEE Senior Member, Geselowitz is the senior director of the IEEE History Center at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken,
NJ, USA.
