B. AI-Assisted RF Transceiver Sensing
In conventional sensor signal processing, designers
need to select an appropriate filter architecture, such as
averaging filter, notch filter, or infinite impulse response
(IIR) filter, to extract the target information from the detected
signal. A lot of design time and effort is needed
to optimize the filter parameters to realize the optimum
performance. The AI-assisted signal processing method
is promising to enable accurate and cognitive sensing
based on integrated RF transceivers. Different from conventional
design processes, J. Saluja et.al. proposed a
novel supervised machine learning algorithm to design
the gamma filter to eliminate clutters and harmonics in
the demodulated radar signal [100]. As shown in Fig. 35,
the gamma filter is a modified IIR filter with a restricted
feedback architecture. Instead of complicated tuning
for filter parameters, electrocardiogram (ECG) signals
containing accurate heartbeat information are used as
the ground truth to train the filter [100]. The AI-assisted
gamma filter achieved heart rate measurement with
